Transformational Teachers training Series- Helping Your Pre-Schooler Flourish!

'Stop trying to perfect your child, keep trying to perfect your relationship with him. '-Dr. Henker

Benefits of early introduction to school are well documented. In a pre-school such as here the toddler is allowed to experience an unhurried adjustment process which eases the pressures of grade school years. Acquiring independence is important to toddlers as they constantly strive to be “big boys/girls”. Making friends and socialization is another crucial part and children who attend preschool have an advantage as they begin learning to get along and work with others at an early age. Children also become better organized as they learn to respond to teachers and adjust to a group. In order to enhance this pre-school experience we have arranged a Parenting Workshop on how to help your child flourish and thrive during these toddler years. You will learn and share in an expert-led, focused setting using interactive and tested technique.

Objectives of the Workshop: In this interactive 2 hour workshop we will focus on 3 main areas:

1. Overview of a Toddlers Development-across the areas of Self Help, Social and Emotional, Cognitive and Language Skill Development.

2. What can parents do- Learn about your Parenting Styles and how you could enhance the Cognitive, Social and Emotional Development and Language Development skills

3. Age appropriate Behavior Management Strategies-we will explore tried and tested techniques to bring out the angel in your toddler!

A Parent Handbook will help document, customize and capture your main learnings.

Transformational Teacher Training Workshop- Getting fired up about Teacher Burnout!

Stress is normal and we cannot get away from it!. We all face pressure and some pressure is healthy as it gives us the boost to achieve .However in today’s world there is an unrelenting and unrealistic pull from numerous places- work, home and society. This excessive pressure brings us to a place were we are unable to cope and it leaves us physically, emotionally and spiritually exhausted and ineffectual at work and home.

As teachers of young children we are in a unique situation as we have many hats to wear. One elementary school teacher summed it up as “in a single hour, I can play many different roles: nurse, babysitter, counsellor, administrator, parental doormat, artist, playmate and educator.”!

We could also look at doing Emotional Intelligence for Teachers that helps them add significant and lasting value in the classroom, enhance the behavioral competencies that improve their personal and people skills that help effectively deal with:
daily challenges in the classroom, develop relationships of trust, empathy with parents and kids and increase productive interactions with kids and staff and enhance their personal productivity and problem solving
